Only used in Korea, and most probably the one you learn will be the South Korean one. It’s reading method is very clear though and very stable compared to other Asian languages.

2. Japan: 

Only used in Japan, and not much anywhere else. It has thousands characters and multiple characters that have multiple sound depending on the context.

Has only 5 vowels and 14 consonant sounds.
5 vowels, OR 1 vowel+1 consonant.

Each syllable in Japanese is pronounced for the same length of time with equal stress.
Example: In English, you pronounce “America” by stressing “mer”
However, in Japan, you pronounce it as “America” with a same length of stress.

3. Japanese Grammar:

To form a sentence using Japanese language, it is ALWAYS WITH THIS PRINCIPLE:

Compare to English, Subject-Verb-Object,
Japanese focuses “Topic” rather than object,
Meaning when they speak, they straight to the point “eat apple”, “open box”, “jump on bed” rather than mentioning who is doing all the actions.

These are some examples how they really “straight to the point” by emphasizing the “topic” rather than “subject or verb”.

3. Spanish: 

More useful if you live in US. There are a lot of Spanish speakers as well and more or less a bit similar to Portuguese.
If you plan on learning other languages, Spanish will help you learn Italian, French and maybe Latin.

1. Spanish Vowel Sounds:

The special pronunciation for only these 5 words:
“rr”, “au”, “ui”, “ei” and “ll”.

1. rr – Produce a rolled ‘r‘ sound! When you say the word “butter” quickly, the ‘tt’ sound is produced by flapping your tongue against the roof of your mouth, rather than a normal ‘t’ sound (like tree). So basically, roll your ‘R’ while speaking any Spanish words combining with 2Rs!
2. au – Pronounce it as “Ow”.
3. ei – Pronounce it as “Hey”.
4. ui – Know how to pronounce the “u” in the word “sue”? And the “i” in “bee”? So when “u” and “i” combine,  we pronounce “ui” as “wee”.
5. ll – It’s a 2Ls, so you cannot pronounce it as “L” anymore, instead you pronounce it as “y”, just like how “young” and “yeast” works.

French  and Spanish  are pretty similar in terms of vocabulary and grammar; if you get one it’s easier to pick up the other. Your knowledge of English will help you pick up these languages.

4. French: 

One of the top languages in the world, seen as the language of prestige and beauty. It is widely spoken in Africa as well.
A trip to Paris would only be one advantage of mastering French.

1. French Pronunciation:

6 vowels: A E I O U Y.
20 Consonants: B C D F G H J K L M N P Q R S T V W X Z.

5. Chinese: 

China is the current fastest growing economy in the world, also the biggest global market to break into. China’s economy currently stands the second largest in the world and continues to grow at an amazing pace.

Chinese is also spoken in the important and influential Chinese communities of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, and Mongolia.

1. Practice using the four Mandarin tones.

• First tone is a high, flat tone. Your voice stays flat, with no rise or dip in the way it sounds. Using the word “ma” as an example, the first tone is indicated using the symbol above the letter a: “mā”.
• Second tone is a rising tone. Your voice rises from a low to middle pitch, as if you were asking someone to repeat something by saying “huh?” or “what?” The second tone is indicated using the symbol “má”.
• Third tone is a dipping tone.The pitch goes from middle to low to high, like when you say the letter “B”. When two third tone syllables are near each other, the second one retains its third tone sound while the first takes the sound of the second tone. The third tone is indicated using the symbol “mǎ”.
• Fourth tone is a lowering tone. The pitch goes rapidly from high to low, as if giving a command e.g. stop! Or as if you’re reading a book and have come across something new and interesting and are saying “huh”. The fourth tone is indicated using the symbol “mà”.

2. Memorize simple vocabulary.

Some good vocabulary lists to start with includes: times of day (morning: zǎo shàng, afternoon: xià wǔ, evening: wǎn shàng) body parts (head: tóu, feet: jiǎo, hands: shǒu) food (beef: niú ròu, chicken: jī, egg: jī dàn, noodles: miàn tiáo) along with colors, days, months, transport words, weather, etc.

• Hello = nǐhǎo, pronounced [nee how]
• What is your surname (family name)? = nín guì xìng, pronounced [neen gway shing]
• What’s your name? = nǐ jiào shén me míng zì^[1]
• Yes = shì, pronounced [sh]
• No = bú shì, pronounced [boo sh]
• Thank you = xiè xiè, pronounced [shie shie]
• You’re welcome = bú yòng xiè, pronounced [boo yong shee-e]
• Excuse me = duì bu qǐ, pronounced [dway boo chee]
• I don’t understand = wǒ bù dǒng, pronounced [wuo boo downg]
• Goodbye = zài jiàn, pronounced [zay jee-en]

3. Learn how to count.

• One: written as (一) or yī, pronounced [eee]
• Two: written as (二) or èr, pronounced [arr]
• Three: written as (三) or sān, pronounced [saan]
• Four: written as (四) or sì, pronounced [ssuh]
• Five: written as (五) or wǔ, pronounced [woo]
• Six: written as (六) or liù, pronounced [lee-yoe]
• Seven: written as (七) or qī, pronounced [chi]
• Eight: written as (八) or bā, pronounced [baa]
• Nine: written as (九) or jiǔ, pronounced [jee-yo]
• Ten: written as (十) or shí, pronounced [sh]

My dad is a dad who guides us based on his principles and value which came from his 51 years of experiences and what he thinks we shall behave. In my childhood memories, my dad is strict to our behaviours when I think I am already a sensible small kid TT HAHA Btw, to admit that I love my dad more than my mum *during my childhood time* HAHA

But can’t deny it, he values us, his family and like his siblings & friends very much as well. 😊

I still remember how my dad played this game with me at home when I was < 5 years old, it was so fun and memorable yet scary because my head might crash with the moving fans on my house’s ceiling. And also one of his favourite hobby – petting my head to make me go sleep. I still remember if my dad put down his hand when I haven’t really sleep yet, I will shake my whole body to ask for the comfortable petting HAHA – “I want sayangggg” LOL
Of course! All of these were done when I was still young and so does him. 💖

If you ask me what I fear the most, I would say the people I love give me the most fear.
SO! 💖 I appreciate every single moment we spent together, no matter it’s just a simple accompany to movie, or he would come and fetch me home no matter which place I traveled to, or maybe when he’s free he will get out from home with an umbrella under the heavy rain, just to wait for me at bus station if I back from college by bus.

Yes, the one who appreciate life and live to your best everyday – YOU, no matter you’re now struggling or striving hard. 💖

It’s fun to feel the love inside every single portrait (+message) you guys requested for. 💖 As I mentioned, this main objective of portrait is to tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them through a piece of art work! Hehe. 😘
